The team went to the Pena Blanca community and did some great work. Not only did they support the people that lost so much during the hurricanes, but they actually found some time to install solar electrical systems in 5 more family homes. I wanted to share some of this work with all of the you.
These people live in the communities of Pena Blanca and La Pozolera. They previously used lights that were generated from cellphone flashlights and candles. Now you may be thinking, how do they charge their cellphones for this. The families reported that they will walk over an hour to find a place to pay to charge their phones. This is tough! There are multiple people that live in these homes and they range in age from over 70 years old to less than 1 year old. This is really exciting for us to be able to improve the lives for these people. What an honor for us to be able to do this.
Here are some pics of the families from this trip.
Let's keep it up!
Jim
